I tried to deny it as long as I could...(recommendation needed)
But truthfully...I belong on this board.
SO...I hope you have some room for me.
I can't seem to get pregnant after three past pregnancies (One child). I could use some advice on the next step and a recommendation for a specialist to see since my OBGYN doesn't seem to be too helpful.
TIA!

Welcome I'm sorry you're having a hard time. I hope your stay here is short and sweet
As far as recommendations go - I go to RSofNY. I like them....they've been great with me and their hours/locations are really convenient. A lot of the other girls on here go to LI-IVF and I havent heard a bad thing about them...they're supposed to be great.

Jen, you are welcomed w/ open arms on this board. I only wish you didn't have to be here, but you are surrounded by wonderful ladies!
For those of you who don't know Jen, I've had the pleasure of meeting her and she's a wonderful person! I hope your stay is short!
FYI- I go to LI-IVF. They have 3 offices- one in Stony brook, one in Melville, and one in (I think) Lake Success. HTH! I see Dr. Kenigsberg and am very happy w/ him.

Hi there and welcome. Sorry you are going through this. I know how hard it is.
I go to LI-IVF and I see Dr. Droesch. I would suggest you make appointments with a couple of RE's. See what they have to say based on your history. Good luck to you.

You had a tubal right? That is usually a "simple" issue to fix-problem is after my ectopic which was similar to yours, I lost one of my tubes and could not get pregnant again. I went the IVF route and am due in a couple of weeks.

I had a miscarriage and a tubal. I lost my left tube and the drs said it wouldn't effect my fertility, but it has.

I am sorry for your losses and your struggle! but you are welcome here, hopefully you won't be here long!
I also go to RSofNY - in Stonybrook. They have an office in Mineola, West Islip and Stonybrook. Dr. Cain is my primary there, I love her, she's very compassionate, but very straight forward as well. I've also heard great things about Dr. Saketos as well, but she is primarily out of MIneola.
Goodluck!

Welcome
As tough as it is, you are making the right move by going to see an RE.
As for REs, I see Dr. Flisser of RMA of NY in their Manhattan office. I knew a few girls on here see him at his Garden City office.
Good luck

Mostly the reason for tubals is scarring in your tubes, abdomen, uetrus, etc. I had a clear hsg 6 months before the tubal. I had a specialist tell me that even if your tubes look clear on an hsg it means nothing-the tube is so tiny that a small bump could prevent the journey of the embryo through the tube back to the uterus.
The Dr's have no way of knowing if it will affect your fertility sad to say. When I had my tubal surgery my Dr said I was "filled" with adhesions which means at some point I had an infection or something that caused scar tissue in that area. Did you read the report from your surgery?
ETA-I also saw RMA and Dr Ruman and Flisser

Welcome. I had an ectopic pregnancy too and I lost my right tube. It DOES affect your fertility. If fertilization occurs in the fallopian tube and you have 1/2 the amount of tubes you are supposed to have, your fertility is significantly reduced IMO.
I go to RSNY and I love them. Dr. Stelling is my favorite.

No I didn't read my report. My tube ruptured so I am not sure if they would even know why it was a tubal pregnancy.

I am sorry for your losses but is sounds like you are ready to see a RE. I used LI IVF and my RE was Dr. Brenner. I got pregnant on my first IVF attempt. They have offices in Lake Success, Melville, and Port Jefferson.
