PCOS question
For those ladies who were diagnosed with PCOS, did you have normal signs of ovualtion such as pinching feeling and EWCM? I have many of the symptons of PCOS but I still have fairly regular periods and signs of ovulation. I did use an OPK this month and didn't really get a dark line for ovulation. TIA.

Re: PCOS question
I am not quite ttc yet but can answer your question. I have perfect cycles. Af comes every month on time. And I have PCOS. I get ewcm and everything. I will get a line on the opk but it is not as dark or darker then the control. I get cramping when I should o and it continues till af comes. It is my body trying to o but the folly doesn't release the egg and forms cysts. Stupid ovaries The only way to find out if you do have PCOS is to go through the testing. Mine was suspected after some bloodwork was done and confirmed with a sonogram. Good luck

Re: PCOS question
If you have PCOS and you temp.....would your chart show whether or not you have ovulated? What are the symptoms?

Re: PCOS question
I would get EWCM fairly frequently. OPKs didn't work for me because I have a high level of LH, so I could get false readings. As for temping, my chart would be all over the place - a line that was jagged with no clear temp rise.
FYI- PCOS doesn't necessarily mean you have cysts. It means you have follicles that never release eggs. Immatue follicles are not the same as cysts.

Re: PCOS question
My cycles are all over the place. I never get EWCM anymore, but I have in the past. Sometimes, I will feel a burning sensation in my ovary, and I think that might be ovulation, but i'm not sure...

I charted for 2 years before having ds. I had some beautiful charts. My charts were perfect. They showed a distinct thermal shift and were not erratic at all. But I was not O'ing. I didn't O till after I was on Met for 3 months. PCOS is tricky and your body may think it's o'ing when it;s not. The only way to confirm O is sonograms/bloodwrok.
