Overwelmed

At how many weeks did you all start doing the nursery?

I am almost 24 weeks and we started today .. it just seems like there is so much to do!

Plus we're in the midst of moving, so I'm packing one house and painting the nursery in another house!!

I'm sooo tired .... Chat Icon

i'm 25 weeks and starting...

i couldn't imagine packing and moving from one place to another!

so far we bought a rug and furniture that is to be delivered in 2-4 weeks. i've kicked around paint ideas and DH is hounding me to make up my mind already! my mom will make a cribskirt and decorative accents, so i have to pick out basic sheets and matching material. sounds simple, but i just can't decide what i want!

my latest dilemma is selecting a glider Chat Icon .

Re: Overwelmed

almost 24 weeks, and we started removing wallpaper today. We have the bedding and furniture, but no home for it yet. We don't want to put in in the nursery until the wallpaper is all down, and the painting is done.

I am 28 weeks and we are starting to work on her room this week
the carpet and molding will be done by Saturday and then the first week in march the lady is starting to do the murals on her walls
Furniture will be delivered by the middle to end of march depending on when it comes in
So I am hoping to have her room completely finished by April
It is overwhelming but exciting and I can't wait to see it finished!

I'm 30 weeks and have the furniture but haven't started painting the room yet. Chat Icon

We had to get a different room done first since we are having out-of-town guests at the end of this week and the room that the baby's furniture is in used to be the spare room. We had to redo the office to accommodate sleeping arrangements (bought a sofabed).

We are planning on getting that room finished today & tomorrow and hopefully start on the baby's room next week when OOT relatives leave.

Re: Overwelmed

Wow, feel lucky, ladies because I will not be able to work on her nursery until about two weeks before her arrival, that's if I don't go early! We are moving two weeks before I am due!Chat Icon Talk about overwhelming! However, I don't feel a huge urge to make sure her room is done before she arrives. She won't know the difference!

Re: Overwelmed

I went throught the same thing!!

We moved when i was 7 or so months - i packed everything - clothing, glasses, fine china - the packing was in a sense easy - unpacking the worst - but we had lots of help from family and that was a lifesaver for me.

My baby isn't here yet - but its so wonderful to now be settled into the new house and bringing the baby home here.

If anyone offers help - accept it - you need it right now more than ever Chat Icon

Re: Overwelmed

20 weeks today and we just started looking for funriture this weekend....we'll probably order it over the next few weeks. other than that, we still have the whole room to do but we have plenty of time. though, tom will be studying for the CFA exam which is 3 weeks before the potential C-section so...not sure how all of this is going to come together. worse case its done after the baby is here! like prncssrachel said- they don't know the difference! Re: Overwelmed

I am trying so hard not to freak out! I have my sil's wedding coming, which is killing me, I am on partial bedrest, and there is still so much to do!

My furn is coming beginning of april, i have to finish cleaning out the baby's room, go shopping for the stuff needed before she comes-mainly clothes, shampoo my upstairs rugs and start packing for the hospital.

I make tons of lists to keep things in persepective, it's just really frustrating that I can't do what I want to do because of the bedrest.

We are going to paint and fix up the baby's room next weekend (I will be 28 weeks next week) My DH & MIL painted the stuff we could not get to before we moved in yesterday and today (she slept over). It's coming along, and looking good. Chat Icon I am supposed to be "cleaning out the office" instead, I am on here. Chat Icon

Re: Overwelmed

hahaha...I am due in TWO DAYS and we JUST finished the nursery this weekend!! Talk about procrastination so dont feel bad! We still dont have the crib yet....it was picked up but at our inlaws house.

We were just so busy with other projects and work, etc...it creeps up on you. If you don't have it finished in time, don't worry. Things get done eventually! The baby won't know the difference anyway!

I would say order the furniture early...

Here are few pics of it..
