For those of you who have given birth
I'm curious, what happens with the placenta. Is it easy to deliver?

Re: For those of you who have given birth
I didn't really feel much more than a pull from the doctor and then it kinda slid out. I don't know how to explain it really, but at that point you probably won't notice it since the baby is out! Your focus will be on the baby.

I had the same experience. I was more focused on watching the nurses clean her up.

Re: For those of you who have given birth
I *think* it was easy, I couldn't feel a thing. All I know is that my Dr told me there would be minimal bleeding afterwards since I did not have much blood in general

Re: For those of you who have given birth
you don't actually even know you are deliering it with all the excitement in the room over the baby. It basically slips out shortly after the delievery of the baby and the Doctor will press down hard on your abdomen to make sure any extra clots and what not come out. He then will repair any tears if there were any. Isn't no big deal and you don't even see it.

I have to just say that if you do not have an epidural you will know you are delivering it but it doesn't hurt. Its just one more contraction (mild) and its out.

Re: For those of you who have given birth
It wasnt hard for me either to deliver it, just a push and it was out. Dr kinda pulled too as i pushed. My MIL said it was the grossest thing she had ever seen.. looked like a huge Roast beef!

Re: For those of you who have given birth
Someone posted about this the other day and said they heard it was more painful than delivering the baby. I am on my third pregnancy and never heard that in all the discussions or reading I've done on pregnancies. I had the same experience most of the others posted here - it was quite simple and quite gross.
