Do you remember........
What you term paper was on in high school????
Sorry, I am bored and was doing a word search this morning and the topic was term papers and got me thinking about mine and how proud I was of it and the wonderful A I got on it.
Mine was on Abortion.

I had to do so many term papers in high school! One that stands out is for my humanities class we had to do a paper on "The History and Development of ______" I did mine on Genetic Engineering. I got an A Then later on in college when I took genetics.... I already knew everything I don't think I ever opened my textbook.

Hmmmm, me too. I guess they changed the curriculum after we left!
Come to think about it, when I was in HS we had algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and then calculus. Now there are sequentials...

I had two a year starting in sophomore year in History class, and at least one a year in English starting in 8th grade!!!

I remember a semester-long assignment on writing a research paper -I still have the paper somewhere. I didn't know what book to pick so my English Teacher asked me did I like to read. Stupidly, I said yes - she assigned me a book longer than everyone elses. It was Native Son by Richard Wright. I actually enjoyed it. I handed in the paper early for extra credit and I ended up with a 96 + 3 pts for handing it in early. She told my parents I had the highest grade of all her students. I submitted it with my college app as a writing sample.
That class was so valuable because when I got to college I had so many papers to write that it was rediculous.

I had to write a thesis senior year in HS. I did it on suicide. I had first hand experience since the reason why I switched high schools was because a friend committed suicide. I used that story and Sylvia Plaths Bell Jar and I got an A.
