Anyone else been REALLY lazy with cooking?

I have completely lost my desire to cook...anything. I'll even say that I'm too lazy to brown some beef and put on a Hamburger Helper.

DH doesn't cook, per se...he'll throw some fish sticks in the oven and microwave my creamed spinach for me Chat Icon but we've been eating out a LOT because I just feel like I can't be bothered.

I feel like the biggest sloth on the face of the earth!!! Someone PLEASE tell me I'm not alone here!

Re: Anyone else been REALLY lazy with cooking?

I have been SOOO bad with this too. Just no energy to cook....eating too much frozen stuff that I justy pop in the oven, or taking out food. I really HATE doing this.....just so tired and bored with cooking. As I type this, we are waiting for our pizza to come....I feel terrible about this...I want to eat better and cook, but I just don't feel like it.

Re: Anyone else been REALLY lazy with cooking?

I'm so glad I'm not alone in this!

I love, love, love to cook, but since getting pregnant, DH is lucky if I cook once a week. I actually had a meltdown about this over the phone with him a couple of weeks ago. I felt (and sometimes still do) feel like such a bad wife.

I know he does not care, he's perfectly happy with some salami and cheese for dinner, or having sushi, but I feel so Chat Icon about it.

We're hosting Thanksgiving this year (I do it every year), and I'm actually really looking forward to it.

Re: Anyone else been REALLY lazy with cooking?

This week was better for me. I cooked two meals that provided leftovers. The 10 days before that nothing at all. We didn't even really have food in the house to cook so we ate out or ordered in a lot.
Who knows what next week will bring.

Re: Anyone else been REALLY lazy with cooking?

I've been lazy about everything. I love to cook as well, especially on the weekends when I can take my time and I'm not half dead tired from work. Its gotten to the point that I don't know what to cook any more, especially now with the GD.

I'm lazy with the housework as well. My house looks like a pig sty. My mom is coming over today to help me clean out the baby's room because she's the type who throws out everything and I need that so bad. She's like a drill sargent.

Re: Anyone else been REALLY lazy with cooking?

I do most things in fits and starts.... I am an all or nothing kind of person. I guess it's the gemini in me!

But, usually-- DH and I just both make big salads for dinner-- we each do our own. Some days, I am even too lazy for that.

Lately though, I feel like I need to make real dinners where we sit at the table, etc., instead of just on the couch watching TV. We'll see how long that lasts though... Part of it is that I have not been working the last few weeks, and I feel like I need to earn my supper, literally!!

Re: Anyone else been REALLY lazy with cooking?

What worrires me most is, if I feel this way now, what will it be like with a baby in the house? It's so hard b/c since I still don't have the hugest appetite and I am so tired/busy getting things ready for DD's arrival that I don't have that desire/energy to cook as much either.

I have never eaten worse in my life and I hate that!Chat Icon But I tell myself not to stress about it, it will all work out in time. I used to love to cook...
