I don't really think about it too much, to be honest. When I think about it, I think they have to come out somehow, and whatever that way is, I will deal with it when the time comes.
I'm the same way. However for the longest time (even before I was married), the whole thought of being pregnant and actually having to give birth was the most terrifying thing in the world to me. Now, I'm surprisingly pretty calm about it, but ask me again as I get closer to February!

I honestly started getting insanely terrified over the weekend. My DH and I were watching a childbirth video, and then yesterday we went for a sono and the tech was like this baby is in PERFECT position, her head was literally right above my hoohaa , and I just started to freak...I told DH maybe I should schedule a C section, which I KNOW I won't do, but DH just laughed and was like you'll be fine, the baby is going to fall right out and be painless...UM yah, he should say that after he gives birth

The fear of the unknown!
I too was terrified not knowing what to expect and you know what, you're in good hands, there are nurses and doctors always looking in on you and really for as long as a day it was for me (12 hours of labor), in the end it is the most amazing experience ever.
Every woman could tell you her own experience on the she gave birth and we would all have different stories to tell and experiences to share. And no story can ever truly prepare you for what will actually happen to you on that day.
I can't wait to do this all over again!

Funny I was this way with G, and I became absolutely terrified for about 30 minutes before I went to deliver him. Luckily there was really no time to freak and by the time I knew I was freaking he was here!  I guess it could not have happened any better!

I am absolutely petrified.
I can deal with the pain I guess-- it depends on how bad it really is. But I am REALLY afraid of tearing, an episitomy, etc. Just a general loss of control, and having things take its course.
Yes, I keep thinking about the tearing  I know crazy!!
Today I found out baby will be about 7/2 to 8 lbs. What 8 lbs!! Ouch!!

I am definitely thinking about it more and more as the months pass by. When I find myself getting nervous about it, I tell myself the following:
It's something many people go through and it's not an illness. There's a definitive purpose.
The baby has to come out one way or another!
I will let the doctor worry about it when it's time! He's the pro.
