I am so sorry. I can't even imagine what you are going through. Please know you have your 'virtual' family here to help you until you can come back East. We are all here to listen and vent to.

Like you said...just take it one day at a time...and if that seems too daunting, then just one hour, one minute at a time...i know it must seem impossible now, but you are so strong...you can do this. and you are not alone! you have all of your family and friends here back home that love you guys and we're here for you! Can't wait to see you when you come home. Give that beautiful  lots of hugs and kisses!

I am in the same position, except DS isn't here yet (due in February). DH will miss his birth, and the first 6 weeks with him.
I also live upstate and have some family nearby, but not everyone.
I  for your DH's safe return, and if you ever need to vent, please FM me.
I totally know how much it sucks and nothing I can say will make it better. The only thing I can say is that you must have been a strong person for your DH to marry you in the first place and you WILL get through this!

for a safe return for your DH as well. This whole deployment thing really sucks! I'm still waiting on that first phone call.....  .
BUT, I checked our bank account online and it shows that he used his card at a Burger King at 1am this morning... so at least I know the man is eating! Wherever he may be.... Don't know why, but that helped ease things a little bit.
