Need opinions...

Would it be inappropriate to email my doctor? I have her email address from the directory at work here since she is part of the university that I work for. I STILL have not heard back from anyone there at my doctor's office. They were suppose to call me back. I just tried to call them and it says they're closed. I am so upset. My doctor was suppose to call me on Monday with the results and she never did and I don't know why. It's not like her not to. But, then I received the report from my tests and it's really worrying me. It's obviously not good results in my eyes and I really need to talk to my doctor. I can not believe no one has called me back. I don't know what to do. I never expected to get the results in the mail like that. Well, at least not before they were discussed with my doctor. I need to come up with my treatment plan with her. Instead I just get all of this medical mumbo jumbo that's scaring me because when I look up the terms online it says it could be ovarian cancer. How am I suppose to deal with that on my own? That's not right?

So anyway, do you think it would be ok if I emailed her now in the hope's of hearing back from her over the weekend? That is if she even reads her email? I just can't worry like this over the weekend without knowing something. Why the h@ll are they closed??? It's not a holiday. Chat Icon Chat Icon I am soooo not happy with the nurses there right now.

ETA: We do have a close doctor/patient relationship. That's the only reason I though it wouldn't be that bad. I just didn't want to bother her. I jsut thought maybe she just completely forgot to call me? I don't know. I'm desperate.

I think its terrible they havent called you!!! I would absolutely email the doctor and tell him/her you need answers now. It is unacceptable to make someone wait like this especially for something as serious as test results...and I would tell him so!!!

I would demand answers. Call, leave messages, send her that e-mail! You deserve an answer and not to be left waiting. I can't believe they just mailed you the results with no explanation!
