Why do I have these symptoms?

Sorry for the fake name, I am afraid of lurkers.

Anyway, I am really confused right now. I have had a few symptoms lately, but got a BFN a few days ago. I have had nausea, vomiting, my teeth hurt and gums bleed when I brush them, I am very tired.....

But we did not even BD much at all in the past couple months. My cycle has been irregular, so I do not know when AF is due or if/when I ovulated. My LMP was July 31, 2008. So it has been about 3 months since I have had a period. I know, I know- that's not good, I should see my OB, etc.

But what I am asking is- why do I have these "symptoms" if I am not pregnant? I have had gagging while brushing before- but not as often as I have lately. I have never had bleeding gums like this before.. EVER. I have never gotten the urge to throw up out of nowhere or because of a smell like I have been getting lately.

What is going on with me? I am thinking of picking up another test tomorrow, but I feel as though the one I took a few days ago would have come up positive if I am pregnant and already having symptoms wouldnt it?

Call your doctor and let him/her know. I'm no expert and some of the other girls on this board can probably give you a better answer (I'm still new at this), but it is possible that you're pregnant and your tests are coming back negative because its still too early to show up as a positive. I'd wait a week and try testing again.

If you haven't had your period in 3 months, you need to call your ob/gyn ASAP.

If you were 3 months pregnant, the pregnant test would come back positive. It is very rare for people to never get a positive pregnancy. Let me say that it's RARE, but it can happen. So there is a slight chance that you could be pregnant and its just not coming up in your urine tests. I would go for a blood test ASAP to make sure. Have you noticed any other chances in your body?

If you're NOT pregnant, there could be many causes for not getting your period. Thyroid or pituitary problems, cysts, stress (physical or emotional), etc.

Honestly, I think you know this already - but none of us can give you the answers. You need to see your doctor.
