Lupron - weight gain?
I'm gaining weight like a crazy woman. Yes, I ate an obscene amount of pizza, gelato, hummus and pita when I was in Italy and Israel, but since we got back on the 10th, I've gone back to my old routine and yet the scale is still rising. Fast.
So, what's with the obscene weight gain? Did anyone else have this with Lupron??

Yes its true!! i gained 30llbs in 3 1/2 years of ttc on inferitilty drugs.. Some might not but I definately did.. I have add I fell into depression many months and didnt do any excercise, just ate alot of carbs which I really am sensitive to so that was the bad part.. And they dont call it lupron for nothing.. I got LOOPY.. Out of my freakin mind wack job..
It was all worth it in the end.. You will get through this.. And as soon as I stopped the Lupron I felt so much better the next day.. So thank God its not forever!! Just keep on keepin on..

I've gained 30 pounds also since starting this four years ago...and it's so hard to lose because you can't really exercise for any length of time.

Can't specifically blame it on Lupron in peticular, but I gained a ton of weight from infertility meds for sure- not sure which one/ones were the culprit

I think it's just the lupron because I did 4 months of injectables and was still able to maintain my weight. We'll see... it could also just be delayed weight gain from all my fun for 3 weeks in Italy and Israel...
HOPEFULLY there will be a little miracle at the end of this month so I won't have to worry so much about taking the weight off

Mine too!! But maybe you wont! And I feel it did happen because of the length of time I was on it.. And I had 2 m/c .. But I had no choice.. I want to be a Mommy..

Glad I am not alone....Hopefully I can reamin active until I start to stim!!!! HOPEFULLY there is a miracle waiting for us all at the end of these meds!!!!!

I started my Lupron 10 days ago and it's been giving me headaches so my appetite has decreased somewhat. I think I may have lost a little weight from because of this.
Over the past year, I have noticed a slight weight gain and I assume its from the different medications.

I started lupron AND prednisone a week ago. For me, I haven't seen any change in my appetite yet. I used to skip breakfast, but now I am making an effort to have something small.
Hey, pregnancy will add about 40 lbs to you anyway!! Bring it on!! It will eventually come off!

I have to chime in also. In the past 3 years, I gained 15lbs (though I think its kinda more because I have always been very muscular and now I'm not, if you know what I mean. I'm up 4 sizes) and stopped exercising all together (I have been an avid exerciser/gymnast since I was 17 and now I am 40). I think its more due from the stress/depression than the drugs (though I do think they add to it). My first IVF cycle with MDL (so with lupron). I ate all steamed green veggies, chicken and tofu and low carbs and I actually lost 5lbs (of course when it didn't work they came right back on). Just try not to stress over the weight, and just tell yourself that after you are successful (I'm talking delivery-and I'm talking positive here) you'll worry about it then. Like Gerty said, you never have enough time now to work it off.

my cousin didn't gain any weight on her drugs. She did three cycles in one year.
She maintained her healthy lifestyle..walking 3 miles a day, eating very healthy..etc..
I'm sure that had something to do with it. It's one of my biggest fears about the stims..I'm overweight to begin with ..

Me too. I worked really hard to lose 40 lbs the past few months, I don't want that all to be for nothing.
