Opinions on what I should do?
I saw Dr. Braverman today- loved him!! After an intial heart attack when they told me that my insurance only covered 1 fresh cycle and 1 frozen cycle (which I already used) or 2 fresh cycles it went well. I have verified with my insurance that I have unlimited frozen transfers and 2 fresh cycles covered. He was VERY through! He is testing my blood for everything under the sun and we (dh and I) have a bunch of other blood tests to do for a special lab that comes to the house. The only way he would do the blood work today was if I was going to start a fresh cycle in November. So I told him I was. I am still undecided about that. My origninal plan was to do a natual cycle with a frozen transfer after ovulation with my current RE. That way I would not take any meds, just transfer after ovulation and if that failed, then move onto a fresh cycle with a new RE. Since I did sort out the insurance issue and have the coverage I think thats what I am still going to do. I am supposed to start BCPs today if I am doing a Nov IVF. I think I am going to call him tomorrow and tell him DH and I decided to take a mini break and do the fresh cycle in Dec. My other option is COrnell. I just found out they take my insurance. I want to at least consult with them before I use this last covered cycle. This is my last chance at another baby and I want every possible shot at it. So, I am going to wait and see what my bw shows. It will take 8-10 days to come back. If there is an immunology issue I will stick with Dr. Braverman and not bother with Cornell as they do not specialize in immunology issues like Braverman does. If my blood is all clear I will probably go to Cornell as I feel they will be my best chance. Opinions? Should I do the natural FET this month or jump into another fresh? For the fresh should I go with Braverman/SIRM or Cornell? Is my thought process correct or am I missing another course of action that I should consider?

I would stick with your plan. In addition to all the reasons you listed...what if the FET you do with your next cycle works??? Then you won't have to put yourself through another fresh cycle.

Hmmm......
I would do the final FET. Since its there and its covered (in my mind this gives you two more chances). And really, what are you doing to do with them anyway, continue to pay for keep them frozen? I would consult with Cornell and see what they say also. And compare.
What kind of additional testing is SIRM doing on you? Just curious.

I agree with this. But also if you do decide to move to a fresh cycle in December, you might want to check their IVF schedule for that month. I know many RE offices do not do IVF cycles in December, as many take that time to do inventory and a supply stock up.

They are testing for NK (natural killer cells) ANA, APA and another panel of things I have written down- I'll let you know.

Thats a good point, I had asked them about this and was told that they do cycle in Dec but I need to check with the nurse about it. I will call tomorrow about this.

Hmm... I'm not sure what I would do. On one hand, if you have unlimited FETs, and you have the embryos there already- I'm all for keeping embryos (don't ask me why though- something about security I'd guess ) But on the other hand, I do agree w/ everyone else that it's def. less stress on your body. Sorry, I'm not making much sense here- I'm somewhere in between- so whatever decision you make I'll support you!

Re: Opinions on what I should do?
If you have the immune issue or any of the others why cant you send your frozen emby's over to braverman and do it w/him?? I feel if the issues are there you have to treat them.. Why cant you just do the fet w/him? Either way? your covered I believe you said.. Then you can still do this in Nov either way.. I hope this makes sense?

Re: Opinions on what I should do?
Hi - I agree w/ Diana. You have the embryos, I would use them. I recently switched from ECF to Dr. Braverman and transferred my embryos (via fed ex) from Plainview to NYC. He also tested me for NK cells and other issues and I came back positive for NK cells (I have a 15 month old daughter from a fresh embryo cycle w/ East Coast, then a failed FET). Braverman said the NK cells can develop after one healthy pregnancy and it seems that's exactly what happened. He is very thorough, sends me articles constantly and I have a lot of faith in his office. I am currently doing another FET coupled w/ steriods and intralipid transfusions w/ him now and am very positive that it will work!!
Good Luck!

Re: Opinions on what I should do?
Braverman actually called me at home this evening He is super nice and very through. Juliana, he thinks this may be my issue too as I have a 26 mo old DD and now a failed fresh and FET. I am now going to take the BCP. I am going to do the FET with him but it won't be until early Dec (thats how their calendar runs) if that fails I can move on to a fresh for Jan. My other option is to do another fresh right away and just transfer the frozens. If (god forbid) my fresh cycle fails I will (hopefully) have enough leftover to take them to day 5 if I have to do a FET. I am also going to make an appointment with Cornell but it will probably take me about a month to get in. So in the meantime I will take the BCP and move forward with SIRM.
