Hello, New Here.
Hi ladies! DH and I have been trying to TTC #2 for 11 months with no success. I went to my OB/GYN yesterday and he's 99% sure I have PCOS and I have my first appointment with Dr. Saketos at RS of NY in Mineola. He said it was strange that I got PG with DD without help.
I was debating on posting here because I know that what I potentially have is small in comparison to what you ladies are going through, but then again, it could be something more serious that I have than PCOS.
Has anyone used RS of NY in Mineola before?
Good luck and baby dust to everyone!

PCOS is quite serious. It is not always as easy to overcome as you may have heard. Being with an RE is an excellent move and will be able to offer you many more options then you OB/GYN. Good Luck Shawnna

PCOS is treatable and I hope yoru stay is short.
I went to RSONY for 11 months. I don't reccomend them although people on here have found success there.

Re: Hello, New Here.
Welcome
While it is definitely tough at first, you will feel a lot better after you see an RE and start getting a plan together.
Good luck and I hope your stay is short

Re: Hello, New Here.
Welcome Even though I don't know much about PCOS, I do know that seeing a RE is the best option out there! They will find a way to get you PG & on your way

Re: Hello, New Here.
PCOS is one of the most easily treated forms of IF - especially if there are no other factors. I hope your stay here is short.

Re: Hello, New Here.
I went to RSofNY and I am now pg. I didn't have PCOS, we had male factor with possible egg quality issues. It took 5 IUI's.
Good Luck!!

I go to RSofNY at Stonybrook and see Dr. Cain, but I have heard excellent things about Dr. Saketos (my Mom works at Winthrop)...I would go there but Mineola is a hike for me..
Good luck!

Re: Hello, New Here.
I go to RSofNY and have seen Drs Stelling, San Roman, Cain, Saketos, Bray and Trivak. Dr. Bray is my least favorite.
I bounce between the West Islip, Stony Brook and Mineola offices. I don't like Mineola - less personal and too big.
Dr. Saketos is wonderful. Very down to earth. Good luck.
PCOS is very common (I had it). Welcome. I hope your stay here is short.
