Not ovulating..
Alittle background.... My last day of BC was 8/20. I had AF right away then I received AF 32 days later, but she was light. Pretty much like it was on BC and I was under the impression it would be heavy (I had very heavy periods prior to BC). I decided to try charting to see what was happening with my body. Now, it doesnt look like I have ovulated. OPK's say no, but those lines are so confusing. Two days they were there and semi-dark (not as dark as the control line) and then there was barely a line. (Now I know why everyone uses digitals). SO, three questions. 1) Why do you think my temp fell so much after my large temp shift? 2)Generally, how long does it take to ovulate after coming off BC (I was very regular prior to BC). 3) For the past week or so I have felt funny, almost like how you feel a day or two before AF (crampy, moody) and my boobs hurt (TMI, sorry). What does everyone think is going on?

Re: Not ovulating..
1) I don't see a large thermal shift confirming or giving the impression that O has taken place. From your temps, it does not look like you have ovulated.
2) There really is no standard answer for when you'll ovulate coming off bcp. Some people will ovulate right away, others will not.
3) I'm not really sure what's going on. Keep temping!

Re: Not ovulating..
Ok. I thought from day 14, when it was 97.1ish to day 16 when it was 97.9ish was what I was looking for with ovulation. Then I thought it was supposed to stay high if I ovulated. I guess I just need to be patient. I still dont get this whole chart reading thing.
You can get your period without ovulating right?

Re: Not ovulating..
Right - if you did ovulate, your temps would stay high after ovulation.
Basically, you'd have one level of temps BEFORE and one level AFTER - and you'd definitely be able to tell. Also, FF would be in your ovulation date by giving you your "crosshairs" which are a vertical line on your O date and a horizontal line showing your coverline.
Hang in there! Your body is still adjusting to being off the bcp, so you just have to try to have some patience since you never know how long it will take!

I agree 100%....
With the pill, there's no way to know when you will ovulate.
I will say however, that my periods' were H E L L before I went on the pill and now, 12 years later, i'm not on the pill anymore and my periods are much more bearable...
So that may be a change for the better for you!!! It may not seem like much - but for me - i was overjoyed!
