Re: IVF Grant
I just finished an IVF cycle with the grant. I'm seeing Dr. K at LI IVF. There are ceratin qualifications and it's a super easy application process. If you have any questions let me know.

Re: IVF Grant
We applied for it through NSUH, Dr. Scholl & would have received money for our upcoming cycle this month. Problem is, since the financial crisis is going on, NYS has held up on giving the money to the practice. They can't guarantee if & when the money will be available. Since they are so unsure & with the economic downturn, DH & I opted to self-pay (even though more money) so we don't wait for nothing.

Trust me, it was hard for us to hear this from the RE also! We knew that we would not get much (you have to make less then $195K combined for 07) but anything we got was going to be good. But when they are not even sure if they will get the funds, it is not worth waiting...

Re: IVF Grant
If you do end up paying out of pocket (which is what we did ) try to take advantage of whatever you can- Meaning if you have a credit card that earns you air miles or gives cash back etc and then just pay it right back if you are using savings....We wished we had thought of it and didnt, and could kick ourselves now for it ! Also, if either of your employers has one of those flexible health spending plans that might help too....Let your RE know that you are POP and they may work out a deal for you (thats what they did for me ) and I had meds donated to me from the office on my 1st cycle (for my 2nd, my health plan changed and they covered my meds !) Good Luck

Re: IVF Grant
I used the grant in the beginning of the year with LI-IVF. I know they got more grant money in around June but I'm not sure how much they have left. If you need to do the grant, you might want to check with them. Good luck!
