how long would you wait to test?
So this was my first month off of the pill. If I was still on my 28 day cycle I would have gotten AF on Wednesday. She's still not here, yet I feel like a moody brat, which makes me think she's on her way. I haven't started getting extremely tired, extremely early like I did when I was preggo with DS. How long would you wait before testing? I would almost rather get AF than get a negative pregnancy test. For some reason they feel so much more disappointing to me.

i would wait some time - honestly. this is your first month off the pill - you may not get AF at all...you may get af in 40 days - 80 days....
there's also the chance that you are pregnant - but if you are worried about a BFN (and i TOTALLY get that) - it may be better to wait it out....

I know what you're saying, which is why I've been holding out. Based on my experience with TTC for DS, my first cycle off the pill was 28 days exactly, the next month 29 and the third month 30, then I got preggo.

okay - so that gives you a good basis...however, it's not always the same.
my good friend stacy.... after going off the pill - she was on it for 10 years....it took her 8 months to ovulate, she didn't get her period until 3 months off the pill.
her second child - she got pregnant the second month off the pill....
the BFN's HURT....but maybe wait until Saturday??? If you mentally prepared for a day in advance - would that be better?

TOTALLY gotcha.... do whatever you will be best mentally prepared for... it's all about babying your psyche and i don't mean that as an insult at ALL...i hope you know that...

Oh, I don't take offense at all. I just know when we were TTC DS I would test before AF was even due and it was just such a let down. I think I will purchase a test and then hold off until Sunday, which would put me at a 32 day cycle, which is the longest I've ever had.

I would definitely wait until sunday or monday if you can hold out. My cycle is 33 days and i know when I came off BC it was long too. that way you are at CD32 or 33.
At least with the birthday you will be distracted and busy.

It's taking all of my will power not to test! I'm trying to hold off until Sunday.
if you would have gotten AF on Wed.. you should be able to get a definite answer by now!!
