Hi girls.
Has anyone here been on Lovenox during pregnancy? More specifically, as anyone been taken off of it after the first trimester? My obgyn wants to discontinue it and I am very apprehensive.

Re: Lovenox?
I will be on it until after I give birth. I think Meljane takes it and there are a few other girls as well. Why does your ob want to discontinue?

I will be on it throughout the entire pregnancy and for 6 weeks or so after the birth. I did go off of BA around 8 weeks.

Re: Lovenox?
I take it and there is NO reason to discontinue it after the 1st tri. I will be on it until 6 weeks after I deliver. Pregnancy is a thrombotic state-this means your blood is stickier and more likely to clot even if you do not have clotting issues. You are especially susceptible after pregnancy. There are many studies done on this. You may want to consult with a hematologist before discontinuing

Re: Lovenox?
I was on lovenox my entire pregnancy. I am being induced tonight so I had to stop on Monday and will get back on it 24hrs after delivery for 2 weeks. Discuss with your DOC reasons and your concerns.
