I don't understand...conceiving boy or girl...

So everything I'd read seems to say that the closer to ovulation you have intercourse, the better the chances to conceive a boy, because the male y-sperm cells are faster than the female x-sperm cells, and they tend to get to the egg first.

So it would seem like there would be more males in the U.S. than females, since the y-sperm are faster, right? Why is it that there are more women then?

It seems like more women on LIF give birth to boys than girls.

Because even though male sperm are suppose to be faster they supposedly do not live as long as the female sperm. So they may get up where they need to be, but will die before the egg is released. Also there are theories about a woman's body chemistry and how alkaline her CM is. The more alkaline it is, the more likely you will have a girl.

Of course these are just theories. Hope I helped answer your question.

I don't know much about the theories and I honestly do not pay attention to them. To me it doesn't really matter.

I think things go in phases, sometimes it seems like everyone has boys and then it switches to girls. It all depends.

I don't really believe it. I know people who tried all those ways, bought all the books, BD only certain days. It didn't work.
But I guess there has to be some truth to it.


There was a website I saw that said to have a girl, woman shouldn't 0rgasm. Now whenever I hear someone had a girl, I think that.
