Re: Today's Sort of TTC Topic 9/29/08
I actually prefer a male ob/gyn.
My first was a man, I stayed with him for 5-6 years.
Then we moved, so I had to switch. I saw the NP here, who was female. The ob/gyn that was helping with our IF testing was male.
There is a male and female RE at the place we'll be going, so I'm not sure who we are working with yet from there!

My first was a female, she just recently left the practice and I just saw a male (and loved him) and now I will be seeing a female RE (my first appt. is tomorrow).

Currently, at my RE"s office, I can see either. My primary RE is female, but the sono tech is male and so are some of the other doctors.
My regular gyn was female, but my high risk ob if/when I am pregnant again is male.
It doesn't matter to me.

I have been through so many people- nothing phases me anymore. Young, old, male, female, students, etc.

Re: Today's Sort of TTC Topic 9/29/08
I used to see a male GYN but he wasn't an OB so I switched and my initial visit at my new place was with a woman. I believe there are 4 women and 1 man. It's uncomfortable either way so it really doesn't bother me if it is a male or female dr.

I see a male now, but I've seen a couple of both. I have no preference - I just like a good doctor

I see a male OB and he was just the one I saw first in the practice and he was so attentive and nice -- I couldn't imagine seeing anyone else now

I see a female OBGYN. I personally have always preferred female doctors. I have a female general practitioner as well.

Re: Today's Sort of TTC Topic 9/29/08
Right now I see a male. My first OB GYN was a female and I had such a bad experience with her. She was rough, rude and in and out of the room before I could say hello.Since then I have seen 3 males and loved them all so I am partial to the males.

I prefer a female, but I ended up seeing a male and it was surprisingly not so bad.

I'm currently seeing a male. I don't know if I "prefer" a male, but have found that of the 4 OBGYN's I've had 3 were men.

Female- I have a mental block about seeing a male. It freaks me out, although I know in my head it would be fine....
