Temping Quest from a newbie
Hi everyone,
I decided to start temping this cycle. I came of BCP on 8/20. I got AF but she was lighter than normal. I wanted to make sure that I was Oing. I started temping on CD4. Its CD7 and my temp has been exactly the same for these past 4 days...97.70. Is that weird? Should I be looking for it to change soon? (My last cycle was 32 days if that helps, but it was my first month of BCP)
Thanks everyone, Katie

Which thermometer are you using?
Are you writing down your temperature right away? Or going back to bed, then writing it down later?
The reason I ask is because my first month temping, I thought my temp was 97.70 for DAYS and I wanted to know if it was normal. I had been temping then going back to bed, then turning on the temp and writing it down when I got up. Turns out that you have to hold the button down to see your last temp (hold down the on button) and I was just turning it on and thinking that was the temp. 97.70 is the default temp and that always shows up when you turn it on (for mine at least, the CVS-brand thermometer).

Re: Temping Quest from a newbie
Thank you SO much!!! I have the CVS thermometer as well. I was doing exactly as you said...I was taking it early and going back to bed without looking at it. I would turn it on and think that 97.70 was my temp. lol. I feel like an @ss. I guess I have to throw out the last 4 days of temps. Can I still temp this month if I am starting over at CD8?

Oh no problem!
Don't feel silly... I did the exact same thing!
Did AF just end for you? You should be fine for this month!
Do you chart on FF? Are you a VIP member? There are a couple of us on there and we are all friends so we can check out each other's charts

Re: Temping Quest from a newbie
I have the trial VIP on FF but it is up in 3 days. It seems like the site is worth the $ so Ill probably renew for 3 months at first. AF just ended 3 days ago, so Ill try temping the right way now...lol. Thank you so much.
