Baby #2 question
When does your menstrual cycle become reliable again (usually) as a basis for ovulation? Right now I've only had 2 periods since having DD back in May (didn't get a period in June)... according to mymonthlycycle.com my cycle is 35 days. It used to be shorter before I was pg. Is this a reliable number or do you usually have to wait a few months to figure it out? We would prefer not to use ovulation kits at this stage of the game... we want to just try to enjoy and see what happens for a few months and see if we can get the same luck twice. Last time we at least had a clue as to the best time to TTC based on my period schedule. I'm questioning a 35 day cycle when I was not like that before my pregnancy.

Re: Baby #2 question
I'm not on #2 - but if you wanted the easiest way to try without tracking ovulation, you could always just try BDing every other day starting on CD 10 - KWIM?
I know it won't be easy since you have a child already, but I think that's probably the easiest way if your cycles are inconsistent.

Oh trust me though - DH would make time to fit that in
Wow, every other day I'm exhausted thinking about that.

Re: Baby #2 question
DD was born in October and my cycles were regular from Jan-May.
Since May they have been all over the place. Since I would LOVE a June baby DH and I have been BDing every 2-3 days since AF and we plan to continue until she shows up again or I get my BFP.

Re: Baby #2 question
Fist I would like to ask did you get the ok from your doctor to start Bding again? And did you have a vaginal delivery or csection? From experience I know most doctors tell you to wait until your 6 or 8 week visit before going back to a normal sex life. It is important to follow these instructions from the dr. as you have to remember that your body is still going through changes... And I would recommend that you consult your obgyn and let them know you are ttc. Most will tell you to wait because your body has just gone through so much...
Don't get me wrong I am happy you are ttc #2 I just don't want to see anyone with any type of complications.
Now to answer your question my cycle was back to normal within 3 months of having DS.

Now to answer your question my cycle was back to normal within 3 months of having DS.
I had a c/s 4 months ago. I was told BD was okay at the 6 week follow up but that pregnancy was NOT okay until at least 3 months or longer (basically next baby has to be born at least a year after DD - not sooner). He told me not to come in with a BFP until at least September or October.
Well, we let September go by b/c basically it was the worst month ever for us (car accident, pet died and now I have bronchitis along with adult onset asthma and on so many drugs with steriods in them it obviously would NOT be a good time to get preggers). We were thinking of starting to TTC in October depending on how I'm feeling. We wanted a June baby too, but being that I get induced when I'm preggers if I'm due in the beginning of July I can have the baby in June. But regardless... we want to try for #2 sooner than later b/c I've heard that sometimes #2 takes longer in some cases and I have health issues that could make it more difficult the older I get. I just turned 35 and we'd like 3 kids so we have to get moving again (litterally).
I'm sure it's safe now. I wouldn't have wanted to try for another one right after having DD... it took 4 months just to get the c-section pains to go away. My only other concern is my body is in horrible shape and I read something yesterday that suggests I may actually be "overweight" now which I'm so depressed about. I know that will only get worse with #2... but again we can't really wait either - I can probably just be more aware of what I eat and exercise gently.
