no, you are not crazy at all... i would proabably feel the same way.. if she is not asking you out of spite than thats really not right at all... she has to realize you need some time ... we all have hurt feelings, and jealousy about babies,... i hope she understands this..
did she say who was going to be the godmother?

It would depend on who she chose to be the godmother. If it was another family member, I would not be offended, maybe a SIL?

Maybe she knows what you are going through and thought it would hurt you to much to be a godmother? If you have trouble being around the baby, maybe she felt that it would be cruel to ask???

Well maybe you should talk to her about it. I mean if you are so close I don't think it's wierd to call and ask who the godmother is?? I guess us girls all do the girl thing, and get mad at people and don't tell them why we are hurt? and then we expect them to know...I know for me most of the time I make something out of nothing and there is a real reason why someone did what they did when you talk to them...if she was your MOH and you were hers then you should call and tell her how you feel...

Her brother is too young to be married.
Her husbands' twin is married - but she DOES NOT LIKE his wife, even a little.
Her husbands' oldest brother is married and has a child, but she's not close with his wife.
The other brothers in his family aren't married.
so you don't know who she picked ?
I don't think you should be offended.
I think Godmothers are usually kept within the family.
Also, if she knows you are hurting she may not have asked you as to not cause you anymore upset.
Buying the communion outfit, holding the baby up on the altar, may be too bittersweet and she was afraid of that.

trust me - she has NO CLUE IN THE WORLD. She thinks it's sooooo sweet to let the baby gurgle on my answering machine (which then makes me cry for an hour)...and when we're on the phone - she always has her 'talk' to me...which should be sweet - but just hurts.
You say she has no clue about how hard it is for you but how could she unless you've told her. As friends I think it's hard to balance when someone is having such happy times in their lives when you are so sad...but the best way to be on the same page is to talk...

Who is the godfather? She might have just picked that person's wife - since some people like to choose a couple. If that's the case, I wouldn't be offended.

she didn't pick a sister in law. she strongly dislikes one of them (she doesn't like the word hate) and the other lives in Ga - so she has no form of a relationship with her.
i have no idea who the godfather is - it's like she's afraid to talk about it with me, because she knows i'll be hurt.
Just ask her! Seriously Jess.
Why spend time worrying when you can have your answer almost immediately?
