To cycle or not to cycle???
I'm having the IVF itch. It's been 3 months since I started my last failed cycle.
Dr. Droesch had wanted me to loose 30 pounds before my next cycle but I'm not sure if she meant before I start the BCP's for the next cycle or before I start stimming.
Anyway, I'm half way to 30 and trying to decide what to do. Should I start BCP's with my next AF which should come around Oct 10th??? That way, I would be on BCP's for 3 weeks, still loosing weight, and start stimming in the beginning of November.
I would like to do this now b/c my IL's will be in Italy in November and we want to try to keep this from them. They are against us doing another IVF cycle for many reasons. They were thrilled when I got pg with my son and they were thrilled when I got pg in the beginning of the year but they don't like to think about the how part. Whatever. It would just be a lot less stressful if I had the retreival and transfer in November while they are away.
OR...should I wait another month and start the BCP's in November??? Or, possibly have to wait until January to start b/c I know they shut down for the holidays????

Re: To cycle or not to cycle???
IMO I would cycle. I think that stress on your body which isn't always there (or isn't always QUITE so there) is worse than carrying the weight that you've been carrying- plus you are a little lighter. I say keep doing what you're doing and try losing more weight but I def. think less stress = better results. My 1st IUI I was stressed and used the same medication as my 2nd IUI. Though I had a ton of immature follies, I only had (from what my last RE told me) 2-3 mature follices... my 2nd IUI my entire family was away and I made a very conscious effort to not stress and to relax as much as possible--- I ended up having so many mature follicles that they had to cancel my cycle (but got told by both drs it would've been PERFECT for an IVF cycle- though they couldn't convert it). HTH!

Re: To cycle or not to cycle???
First, congrats on your weight loss!
I would speak honestly w/ DH and Dr. Droesch to see what they think, but in the end, the decision is yours. I agree that the less stress the better!!! I would cycle too, but that's just me.
Best of luck and lots of DUST should you decide to cycle!
