So...UPDATE

It is definitely something in my uterus. A water sono confirmed it. It is either a 1.5 cm polyp or fibroid. I have a HSG scheduled for Wednesday which I am dreading. I will have the surgery to remove it next cycle. If the HSG reveals any blockage, they will add it on to the surgery.

I am dreading the HSG because I found the water sono so uncomfortable. I am sick of people's heads being in my vagina. Chat Icon

So all that worrying was basically for nothing. I actually thought it was easier than the water sono. However, it was sort of humiliating. The tubes were fine; there was no blockage. The surgery is scheduled for late October.

I just LOL at that comment!

I had an HSG and I think the anticipation of it was worse than the actual procedure. It definitely was uncomfortable, but it was totally bearable.

As for the surgery, I think I mentioned on your other thread that I had it done about a week and a half ago, so if you have any questions please let me know!

Re: So...

I haven't had an HSG (I'm allergic to the dye), but I have heard you can lessen the discomfort by taking a few Advil beforehand.

Good luck! Be strong.

Re: So...

definitely take 800mg of advil/motrin 1 hour before and it only take at the most 5 minutes.

Just think you're steps closer to bfp

I almost spit my drink across my desk when I read that! LOL

Isn't it amazing what we have to put up w/ on our hopeful journey to motherhood???

Best of luck w/ your procedure - def take the advil/tylenol beforehand - it helps w/ the cramping. It'll be over before you know it!

It is funny, but I thought the same thing...and when you actually do get pregnant and have a baby? Forget about it...when I was pregnant and my son wasn't going to make it, I was at Columbia-Presbyterian and I was like a sideshow because it's a teaching hospital!

As far as the HSG, if you have a blockage I believe it will be more painful than those that didn't have a blockage. It is important to take the advil beforehand. I think its an hour before, take 2, and then a half hour before, take 2. Lots of luck to you!
