where is your favorite place to take your pup?
where are pups allowed? i hate leaving them home---i know there are dog parks but where else can we go? tia!!

We went to Hempstead Lake Park today - walked all around the lakes and through the trails. So quiet and peaceful, beautiful scenery, and the best part of it all... a very happy, very tired dog. I'm typing this iwth one hand because she is sound asleep on my left arm. Every time i try to move it, she lets out a big growly sigh. 
This was the first time we had brought her to the park - definitely something we'll do way more often!

Not sure where you live but we take Otis now to the beaches in hamptons bay he loves it out there. We were just there yesterday morning!!

Hmmmmmmm....there are sooooo many...
Blydenburgh Park in Smithtown - great hiking trails where the dogs can run up and down the hills and a nice spring fed lake for them to play in.
Belmont Park in Babylon - nice flat trails but try to keep the dog out of the water as it's not so clean.
Gardiner's Park in Bayshore - short flat trails, bay beach for the dogs to swim
Smith's Point - Ocean beach with plenty of room for the dogs to run and swim - better to go on "off-peak" hours so the beach isn't crowded
Coindre Hall in Huntington - no trails really, but a nice little bay beach for the dogs.
And there are dog parks/runs in Middle Island, Blydenburgh, Wantagh Park, Cedar Creek Park and Christopher Morley Park.
