Re: Shower Vent - selfish vent

its def annoying but it does kinda make sense especially for a sprinkle. A lot of people are going to figure you had a lot from your 1st child (especially since they are close in age)

As far as all the clothes, me personally will sell a chunk on ebay (no joke). My MIL has already bought a TON of clothes and I know I'll get some at my shower. I personally ALWAYS buy off a registry. Its what they want. I hope for my shower at least 50% of the guests buy off the registry (I know the younger crowd will its the older crowd I worry about). Although for my bridal shower I would say over 90% of the items came off my registry so fingers crossed!! Luckily some of my bigger stuff is gone off the registry already!!

Re: Shower Vent - selfish vent

I'm so sorry. I think this is going to happen to me also, as there is still TONS on my registry. I just don't understand people...don't they realize that there are truly essentials every mom needs with a new baby? It's so frustrating. Chat Icon DH and I have like nothing for the baby, and am nervous that we are going to have a bundle of money on getting stuff (which we really don't have because we just bought a house). Not to mention that my shower date seems to be a bad date for everyone and it's going to wind up being relatively small and my fam is not all that great about sending gifts if they don't attend an event. I'm really sorry. Chat Icon

This happened to me - I got so many clothes, I was going to scream. I almost cried b/c nothing was coming off my registry. I got my basics, but I had to buy alot - I was bummed.

So sorry! That happened to all my friends that knew what they were having. People get excited to buy gender specific clothes, I guess.

This is why I think we are not sharing.....

I am sorry that people did not buy from your registry. I know how irritating it can be to try and return items.Chat Icon
