34 week dr. appt. update

Let me preface this by saying I am thrilled that everything is physically ok with Baby P*star. His heartbeat was nice and strong and he was very active today. However, he is still breech. I really thought he turned as I woke up in excruciating pain recently during the night and swore he turned. However, little boy P*star is breech. I spent a lot of time talking with the doctor about my options. She didn't pressure me to schedule a C-section but discussed that this is definitely in the cards if he doesn't turn on his own.

So, here I am sad that my little boy is breech. I know he CAN still turn but I am trying to prepare myself for it not happening. I am sad- I really wanted to have a vaginal birth and experience childbirth. I will, of course, do whatever my doctor deems necessary to have this little boy safely. However, I just want him to turn. I want him to come when HE is ready.

Other than this, everything is great. I gained 1.5 pounds in 2 weeks, bring my total weight gain to 17 pounds.

Ive heard people whos babys turn at the last minute, dont give up hope!! Did he tell you any ways in which you can help the baby in turning.. I thought someone posted about if you go on all fours and let the tummy hang this will help the baby turn.. not sure if this is true b/c i didnt experience.

please don't stress..... my OB said she won't even CHECK until 36 weeks becuase even if the baby is headdown, it is still floating and is likely to change position

so, please try not to think too much about it until the baby dropped...

My DD turned at 36 weeks and I went on to have a vaginal birth (after a c/s with my first). Sending turn vibes for your little boy!!

Thanks ladies. My doctor wrote a script for me to have a consult with a high risk doctor who specialized in external versions. She also said I can try gravity, etc but doesn't believe it will work. I give her a lot of credit because she never once pressured me into scheduling a section. However, she wants me to be aware of what may lay ahead in the future.

Turn baby P*star, turn! Mommy will buy you a horse if you turn!

Awww, well hopefully Baby P*rnstar will turn on his own & you can experience what you wanted. In the long run, as long as he is healthy, that is all that matters!

NO worries Hollie...Baby Pornstar will make his debut safely no matter how he comes. I do hope he turns for you.

I know exactly how you feel. I tried the version so if you have any questions about it feel free to ask. Now at 38 weeks he is still breech and I've come to terms with the fact that he is there for a reason. I still hope he'll turn on his own, but he is so low they say it's not likely at all. Anyway, you definately have 2-3 weeks before they will consider doing the version so hopefully he turns for you

My DS turned sometime between my 34 week appt and 36 week appt so there is still hope!!

I'm sorry! I know how you feel because I had previa and it was looking like I was going to have a c-section, and was disappointed too, for the same reasons. Don't give up hope! Baby can still turn. Use positive thinking! I also heard that playing music at the bottom of your stomach can encourage them to turn. I have no idea if it's true or not, but my baby was breech for a little while, so I gave it a try and she turned. But she may have just turned on her own since it's still early. Still, can't hurt to try!

My girlfriend had a prenantal massage when she was 32 weeks and her baby was breech. The Massage therapist did some gentle "belly rubs" and the baby turned by the following week. She totally attributes it to the massage although I guess there was no way to prove it.

Just a thought if you wanted a gentler alternative to a version.

Can you go swimming? I heard that helps the baby turn. Either way, he'll be a gorgeous boy and you'll be a beautiful mommy!!

Hollie feel free to FM me if you want to talk...I went through the same thing with baby G when we realised my placenta was not going to move I felt so devastated and cheated that I would not be able to have a VBAC.

My DD was Breech and turned when I was 35 weeks.
