WENT to a Dawg party....Picts inside
I went to my friends house for her dawg's Birthday Pawty! She had over 7 dogs there and about 25 adults. It was everyone's first time going to a dog party. My friend gave out awesome favors doggy blankets and a stuff toy. I volunteered to make the doggy cake. It looked much better in person. Here are the picts. I also have video but haven't uploaded. Enjoy!

awww thats so cute!
 I had a b-day party for my pug when he turned 1, but more b/c he was still alive
he had major brain and head surgery just a few months before and we weren't sure if he was going to even survive.

Actually, we (humans) could eat it but it would be blah b/c there is no sugar in it. There is bananas, whole wheat flour (be sure your dog is not allergic), carob (mock chocolate), eggs, vanilla and water. You could add honey but not good for puppies. The icing is Cream Cheese, cinnamon and vanilla. It smells like banana nut bread.
Here is the recipe. I actually doubled it for the cake shown in the pictures:
Banana Carob Chip Cake
Back to Main List
2 cups water
2 ripe bananas
1/8 tsp vanilla
3 cups whole wheat flour
1/2 Tbs baking powder
1 egg
2 Tbs honey
1/2 cup carob chips
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C)
In a mixing bowl combine water, bananas, vanilla, egg and honey. Add whole wheat flour and baking powder. Mix well. Pour mixture into an 8-inch cake pan sprayed with a nonstick spray. Sprinkle carob chips on top. Bake for 1 hour to 1 hour 15 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
Decorating suggestion: Make both the Cinnamon and Carob frostings (below), then ice the cake with one, and use the other as a decorative trim.
Cinnamon Frosting:
Combine the following ingredients and blend thoroughly:
12 ounces nonfat cream cheese (room temperature)
3 tsp cinnamon ( I actually didn't use this much....1 tspn should be enough)
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp honey
Carob Frosting:
Combine the following ingredients and blend thoroughly:
12 ounces nonfat cream cheese (room temperature)
3 tsp carob
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp honey
Makes One 8-inch cake.
