In honor of September 11th...(IF related)
I feel it's important to share what I learned that day. This date always reminds me to take a minute to make sure that those who I care about/love know how much I appreciate them.
7 years ago today I experienced in my life what I will consider by far the worst of man.  It is something that has shaken me down to my core and something that has definitely changed me forever.
I (once again) wanted to take a moment to thank each one of you- and let you know how much I truly appreciate all of you. IF has become a much longer struggle in my life than I ever thought it might be, and it consumes me at times, but I love knowing that I have all of you to understand things I'm going through, and guide me when I'm completely lost,... though I'd prefer none of us go through a day of it.  God bless each one of you! 
In my own life, I can say that I believe that 2 positive things came from that day (for me- though I could think of a million negative things for me and everyone else  )... first, I got one of the loves of my life, my dog America (Meri) who I adore, and who was a birthday gift from my parents to be my September 11th therapy, and who continues to help me to heal and love and grow on a daily basis.   I don't know what I would've done without her/or would do without her.
Secondly, I learned to appreciate people more, and not to take the time we have with those we love for granted. I learned to not dwell on the petty things as much as possible (though we're all human  ). My DB, SIL and I didn't speak for months (close to a year) and they finally invited me over on Sept 10th for dinner to kind of call a truce- no one ever 'won' and no one ever said they were sorry, we just moved past it. We all learned on 9/11 that there is nothing in life worth losing valuable time with those you love. As awful as that experience was for me, I can't help but think it was so much worse for my family, not knowing where I was or if I was alive or if they were ever going to see me again- and not being able to do anything about it... we all learned a really valuable lesson that day.
