stockings - yes or no??
I know this belongs on fashion but I never really go on there.
Do I have to wear stockings to an afternoon affair ( Bar Mitzvah)? I was told that stockings are out  . I never have a reason to get dressed up anymore sooo I am out of the loop. I have open toe shoes.

Never with open toe shoes!! Personally, i hate pantyhose and never ever wear them. But if you do, please wear closed toe shoes!!!!

at all costs i try not to wear stockings..you know unless they aren't going to be on long 
but I agree, not with those shoes.

I wear stockings everyday. They actually make me feel "put together" my pants fit nicer and fall better. I do not wear them with open toed shoes though.

I only wear them with closed toed shoes in the late fall/winter. Only time I would wear otherwise is for a job interview with a skirt suit. Go bare!

I hate them too- but I have a question for all you ladies...
What do you do in the winter when you have to wear a dress or a skirt- for example- a suit with a skirt for work or something like that?
I love wearing skirts and dresses but find I only wear them in the summer because like everyone else I hate the look of hose...and I feel like in winter it's too cold to go bare legged- no?
Ideas? Solutions?

I think you just have to suck it up and wear the hose...or tights....I tried thigh highs 2 years ago and they were awful, falling down all the time...it definitely wasn't better. This is the reason I have so many more summer skirts too!

This time of year, if you are wearing open toed shoes, you don't need stockings.
I barely wear stockings, even to black tie events!
