Suggestion needed as per going off BC
I heard competing information about going off of BC and TTC-some say that it happened right away, while I heard that you are supposed to wait a few months before TTC.
We are one month closer to TTC (I have been off the methotrexate for about a month) and I was contemplating whether I should stop my Nuvaring around November and use condoms until we are ready to actively TTC.
Should I make an appointment to discuss this with my OB/GYN?
This wait to TTC is making me insane!!!! I am also trying to find out whether it will be safe to TTC sooner than 6 months.

unfortunately - there is no way to answer you.
It's 100% different for EVERYONE. For me - i ovulated the month after going off of birth control. One of Dave's best friends - his wife - took 8 months to ovulate....but - she got pregnant on month 9...
Your doctor will tell you the same thing - that there's really no way to know - but if it would make you feel better - then call!

There is really no reason to wait to TTC after coming off the pill. The only real reason is because you won't know how long/short your cycles are, and if you do get pregnant right after you get off the pill, it makes it more difficult for the Dr. to date the pregnancy.

My Dr. suggested that we wait 1 to 2 cycles off BCP before trying because your uterus is thinned out and there is a higher risk of miscarriage. He also told me that there is a higher chance of multiples.

I don't know about the multiples part, but this miscarriage part is not true. At one time many doctors thought that, however studies have shown that to be unfounded.

my next door neighbor/good friend, just had a chemical pregnancy (she got pregnant the 1st month off the pill) and our doctor (we go the same practice ) told her this too, as to why she thought my friend had the chemical pregnancy

I discussed TTC with my doctor before going off the pill. She told me we could start TTC as soon as I went off. The only thing she recommended was to take a multivitamin with at least 400 mcg of folic acid at least 3 months before TTC. I was very lucky and got pregnant the month after I stopped taking the pill.
I never heard anything about an increased risk of m/c or multiple births. The only issue I've heard about with getting pregnant right away was that your cycles could be off and it could be difficult to accurately determine the EDD.
