Am I having contractions?!?- Still home
I think I am starting to have contractions, not sure if its the start of something or braxton hicks.
**Update: I am still home and feeling crampy and like contractions but nothing too bad so I'm just waiting it out. I have a Dr. appt tomorrow morning so I am looking forward to that!

Hi Jannette! Anything else happening?? Any mucous plug  ??? The BHs I get are really sporadic, no pattern, nothing I can time, even now at 38.5 weeks?

ok, I heard this somewhere (can't remember where... some random website, so take it with a grain of salt).
the difference between braxton hicks and real contractions:
go pee, drink a tall glass of water and lay horizontal. within 10 min, braxton hicks should stop.
It's worth a shot, although I already promised myself to not take that as a golden rule when the time comes 
Also, BH do not increase in frequency / intensity, or become painful. so if the timing isn't getting closer together, it may just be BH......

Thanks everyone, they are pretty constant but not too painful yet, I just don't want to seem stupid like a first time mom who is paranoid. I will try the water trick.

If they are constant start keeping track & write down the times. Call the Dr & let them know the pattern.
