So frustrated

I know this isn't the end of the world, but I'm so frustrated! Chat Icon

My friend let me borrow some flowy type shirts to start the school year off with (to hide my baby bloat!). I just tried on my old capri pants (which DO NOT fit!!!!!!!!!! Chat Icon ) and these FLOWY tops are TIGHT and do not hide anything! Chat Icon How do I have such a noticeable belly at 9 weeks?! I really wanted to hide it at school but I don't see how it's possible.

Does anyone know what maternity stores are in Roosevelt Field? Looks like I'll be heading there tomorrow! Chat Icon

Re: So frustrated

Also Target has lots of shirts in the Juniors department that look like maternity shirts. I picked up a bunch in different colors for $9.99 each!

Re: So frustrated

Def. go to the store in the Source that the previous poster recommended. They are so reasonable and have really cute clothes. Target also.

People congratulated me at 8 weeks so I know how you feel! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

You're so lucky! I don't show a thing. Chat Icon
I dream and wish that I should show so that I know that something is happening down there.
I'm envious of your belly and wish for the same thing.

I'm jealous too! I'm 17 weeks tomorrow and still don't look pregnant.

Re: So frustrated

Don't get me wrong, I am embracing the belly Chat Icon but I am only 9 weeks and didn't want anyone to know my "secret" just yet! It's still a bit early, but it's getting more difficult to hide.

I'm wondering if this bloat will go down (it's only gotten worse each week, though!).

Re: So frustrated

Maternity Works is great. H&M and Old Navy in the Source Mall also have a small selection of maternity clothes.

If you don't want to buy a lot of maternity clothes yet, you can try NY & Co. They tend to have maternity friendly tops and dresses. I bought a bunch of those in larger sizes. I can still wear the dresses and some of the tops at 23.5 weeks. Good luck shopping!

Re: So frustrated

Just a bit of encouragement... I started showing super early too and was in maternity pants by 8 or 9 weeks, BUT I have still only gained 2 or 3 lbs and my belly is now on the small side at 21 weeks.

Thanks for the encouragement!! Chat Icon

Went to Motherhood Maternity and got four adorable tops and a pair of pants for $75!! It's my new favorite store!

PS - I still can't believe I am in maternity clothes at 9 weeks!!! Chat Icon

Re: So frustrated

Try the bella band. My capris don't fit either, but I zip them up as far as they go with still being comfortable, and I wear a long shirt to cover it. I love it, b/c it was $16 and I can still wear my own clothes at 18 weeks.
