Is there a food your puppy just adores?
My dog is picky, picky, picky.
He did not like wellness (and it actually gave him an upset stomach). We switch to innova but he hates it. It's a struggle to get him to eat sometimes. He hardly ate yesterday and he still does not want to eat this morning. He goes to his dish, sniffs the food and then backs away like he smelled something rotten.

Re: Is there a food your puppy just adores?
We ran into this issue and Daisy would start to get sick (literally).
So, the vet put her on a Hill's dog food (they make Science Diet) and he advised us to give her 1/8 cup 4 times a day. This way, she eats up the small amount in the bowl and will get fed again in about 3-4 hours - we've noticed she is less picky now.

Hmmm, may be an idea to give him small meals. Maybe 3 instead of the 2 he gets now.

You can try it and see if it works.
Daisy is supposed to get no more than 1/2 cup/day as she is under 10 lbs.
We give her 1/8 cup at 6am when we wake up, 1/8 cup at 9am when we leave for work, 1/8 cup at 5:30pm when we eat dinner and 1/8 at 10pm before bedtime.

Eukanuba! Mine didn't like Wellness either. Her poor belly was a mess with it.

What kind of puppy and how old? We started out feeding out 4month old lab four smaller meals, went down to three bigger and will probably attempt just AM/PM feeding in about 3-4 weeks.
She's been eating a combo of BilJac Large Puppy and Wellness Puppy. We're starting to mix in Wellness Large Puppy this week because the kibble was so small she wasn't even chewing, just inhaling it!!

No BilJac Wendy... I think BilJac has BHA in it....
BHT/BHA and Ethoxyquin These popular preservatives are heavily used in the pet food industry, not only to preserve fats but to stabilize the whole product as well. We have certainly been educated as to the dangerous side-effects of BHT/BHA in our own diets as a serious carcinogen, but little truth has been shared about Ethoxyquin. This preservative was developed in the 1950's as a rubber stabilizer and herbicide, very similar to Agent Orange! It was either never approved by the FDA or recalled after three years of human use (I researched both accounts) but one thing is for certain, the documented cases of serious side-effects resulting from exposure to, or ingestion of this chemical. Humans who were working with it in the rubber industry, reported a dramatic rise in such diseases as liver/kidney damage, cancerous skin lesions, loss of hair, blindness, leukemia, fetal abnormalities and chronic diarrhea. In animals it has been linked to immune deficiency syndrome, spleen, stomach and liver cancer, as well as the above mentioned diseases. The steady increase in animal cancer and serious diseases has paralleled the increased use of chemical preservatives in the pet food industry during the last twenty-five years!

Interesting ... we were only feeding her that because it's what she came with from the foster. I'll check it out - thanks!

I feed Holly BilJac for a few years.. Then switched to a food without BHA... She died from liver cancer and the BHA maybe the reason for her death..
