Re: my dog is ignoring me!
My dog has become much much more attached to DH since I got pregnant, shes always been a mush with both of us but now more of a mush with DH, it doesn't seem like jealousy to me, but more of leave me alone since she knows i'm going to be taking care of another baby soon

Re: my dog is ignoring me!
Dogs can smell your hormone changes. You might smell different right now and she is staying away from you b/c of that. Once the dog gets used to your new smell, she will become attached to you again. My dog was like yours in the beginning but as my pregnancy progressed he became very protective of me and wanting to be near me all the time. Now that I am near the end, he sleeps with me every night and really wants nothing to do with DH when we are in bed.

Re: my dog is ignoring me!
My oldest pug (we crate the puppy and she always wants attention so she doesn't count!) has been spending less time around me. At night he often does end up falling asleep by me though. I am worried he is going to be jealous of because he was my first .

Re: my dog is ignoring me!
My Oldest Pug has become very protective of me. He does not let his other fur siblings near me and in fact I thought I heard him growl (which he never does) at his fur sister the other day when she tried to come near me. He sleeps on my belly every night.

And my dog was the same way too with my first PG. Once the baby came though they were all fine & now with this PG it is like nothing is different. I think they just sense the changes and as an instinct stay away.

Re: my dog is ignoring me!
awww, dogs get so weird during this period. My little guy has gotten SUPER clingy. I live in a relatively small place and he follows me around for the first hour I'm home from work, he won't leave my ankles.

Re: my dog is ignoring me!
At the end of my pregnancy with dd.. all of a sudden my fathers dog became very attached to me and always wanted to cuddle with me. So dont be upset im sure things will change as you get farther along in the pregnancy.

Re: my dog is ignoring me!
My dog ignored me and even stopped sleeping in our room throughout my pregnancy. The day I went into labor she all of a sudden wouldn't leave my side, even to go to the bathroom. Once the baby was born things went back to normal!

Re: my dog is ignoring me!
My dog has been acting so strange too. I know I have heard they can sense these things. He has been very protective of me sleeping near me laying down underneath me when I am on the couch. Its amazing how they can sense things changing. He is also such a protective dog of me and DH that I am so afraid of when the baby comes how he will react. Hopefully be as protective to him.
