Life with the Grizzlys
This is such a sad documentary. A guy from LI lived with grizzly bears for 13 years until one day he was killed by one or two. He only wanted to protect the bears but they couldn't do that back to him. Amazing story.

That movie is what really inspired us to book our trip to Alaska - how amazing does it look?!
Yes, it was a sad story but I think he was flirting with disaster and should not have been there to begin with.

It truly looks like such a peaceful place (minus the bears and bugs). I've heard that it is still like an undiscovered heaven. However, I totally agree that he was naive about the dangers and the cycle of life amongst bears. He honestly thought they would never hurt him but the truth was that they were predators and he couldn't face or change that.
