Had my 37 week yesterday.......
I had a sono done, as is the usual routine. Everything else looks really good and the heart continues to be the only visible issue.
My doc is proud that I am "growing the baby well." My induction is set for Sept 8th but it could be any time now. This is officially the most wonderful and heart wrenching time of my life, what a weird combo.
What we are hoping for, at this point, is good news upon the baby's birth. I don't know how much more heartache I can take. I have the constant scenario of a team of docs rushing into my room saying the heart looks perfect and what a miracle it is!!!!!!!!!! Being that is a very far fetched fantasy, we are hoping that our son's case of HLHS is not as severe as origninally thought and he will thrive after the three surgeries. It kills me that, for some reason, we couldn't give him a good heart!!!!!!!!! This time next year I want to be on the beach watching my little guy laughing and happy, like nothing else happened.
Oh and an easy labor would be nice!!!! A few people have officially scared the crap out of me with their stories. Give a preggo woman a break!!!!!!!!

You just keep growing that baby!!! And your dream scenario, as optimistic as it is, may NOT be so farfetched!!! It just won't be known until he arrives, that's all, so your positive outlook is the VERY VERY VERY best gift you can give him!!!!!
37 weeks!!! You're so close to holding him in your arms!!!

My labor wasn't bad....all I can say is "EPIDURAL". It did wonders for me!!!!!

Can I kiss you? Now, how come I am not hearing more positive stories like that? Even if people are lying, hey I won't know the difference anyway!!!!!! I can know the truth after labor.
