furniture colors
i havent gone out looking for baby furniture, but i really wanted a white crib and dresser and all that, but my mom (who i have to admit is mostly right) said it will get scratched and hit through the yrs and wont last as long..
what kind did you get and are you happy with it???
pictures would be great too!!!!

my nephew's crib is white, and he is always biting it, the white paint chips off like crazy.
we got congac furniture. I wanted cherry but DH felt it was too dark

We are getting dark furniture.. not exactly sure which type yet. We like a cherry set and two chocolate/expresso sets

we're going with either natural or honey oak.
I'm old fashion and only like white for girls and OMG I hate dark wood (either expresso, cherry) in a baby's room). Dust, no way! JMO

we are getting white furniture.
My aunt had white furniture for all of her baby's - the furniture is 17 years old and still looks new. It will be at my mom's house.

your nursery is beautiful!!! great job..
i think we may go with the dark cherry - everything in our house is that.. but i really love white baby furniture.. we will see..

We purchased a dark cherry set. We also bought a wood protection program that covers the furniture for 5 years. here's a pic

I had a hard time deciding between the dark or white furniture but we went with the mahogany color when we found out we were having a boy. Pics of nursery in album.

this is true!!!
We got white, to me it looks very babyish and thats how I wanted the nursery to look. Pics in album.
