all of my sonos up until and including the 12 week ultrascreen were internal, then they were external.

Probably, but it depends on the doctor. I had an internal sono up until week 13.
I didn't find the internal to be that comfy, either! Everything is sore and the last think you want up there is a wand.

Could go either way depending on doc. I had a sono at 9 weeks and it was external, as was everything after that.

I had an external sono at 7/8 weeks and the tech could see everything. I think it dpends on the machine and your doctor.
