It will be external. I had my first sono at 9.5 weeks and that was external. I then had my Ultrascreen done at 12 weeks and that was also external.....

Thanks ladies, I actually have my ultrascreen & then my sono the same week!
Generally is the external not as clear as the internal?

Cindy, she started with an external but it was not very clear so she switched to an internal.
Baby was dancing like crazy!!

I had internal at 9 weeks and it was so clear, we could see the little bean, the heartbeat, little arms and legs...

Cin, I went at 13wks and they made me drop my pants!!
Even at my last sono, the 20wk one...It was external but had to do an 'internal' to measure the cervix better.
ETA: I told the sono tech I was done spreading for her. She laughed!

I dont mind the internal, especially if you can see the baby clearer/better
You guys keep saying the tech, do your doctors not generally perform the sono?

My doc...ha, never. Sono tech does it and then I see him afterwards so he can explain anything or briefly go over my progress.

I have had two so far and both were done by MD's - my ultrascreen tomorrow is also going to be done by a doctor

I had both. At my ultrascreen they did an extrenal and then said it was policy to do an internal as well.
