in your life that has left you bitter? I don't mean that you are a bitter person in general because of it, but that you are bitter about that particular thing?

YES and I will no longer talk to that person or have her at my house to see my son ever.

Re: Is there anything that has happened to you

Yup, losing my mother left me EXTREMELY bitter and angry for awhile. I was pretty much mad at the world and extremely angry at those who I felt "had it better". I kind of had the "why me?" mentality, particularly against those who had parents ; especially the ones who lived to be grandparents.

Since then, I have grown to realize that we all have our tragedy's and strife's, it is an imperfect world. I just have to enjoy my life as I can.

Chat Icon I just lost my dad 2 months ago and like you ...I am so bitter for the same exact reasons! My DH has grandparents still alive and married in the 80s. We just went down to see them. My mom will never have this and my siblings and I will never have this nor will my children. I am also bitter at the people who say they are here for you and they clearly are onto their own lives. I totally sympathize with you and know what you are going through. Like you said I am living my life the best I know how for now.

Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Sorry about your dad. I have to admit that more than 7 years later, I still do not feel 100%. I don't think I ever will. But you will find ways to help yourself heal. One of the greatest comforts has been having my husband. Thinking of the future and our future children (God willing) provides a huge amount of comfort to me as well.
