Wedding at 12weeks
I have a wedding to go to when I will be 12 weeks. Does anyone think I will need a Maternity dress at that point, or could I get away with wearing a dress that I already have that's kinda stretchy. I haven't bought anything cuz I don't want to waste my money cuz it won't fit. I so don't want to wait till the last min. for this.

Re: Wedding at 12weeks
I'd definitely say you won't be showing then if it's your first child. I didn't really show until I was like 18 weeks. I did look like I had a beer belly for a few weeks before that, but still fit into my regular clothes.

Re: Wedding at 12weeks
I'm 11 Weeks, and I'm still in my regular clothes. The only thing is I get bloated a lot, and then it looks like I have a small stomach. Just get a regular dress with a little room in front.
Is the dress you want to wear very tight?

Re: Wedding at 12weeks
definitely not maternity dress time yet....
but you should make sure the dress either has a little give in the belly area, or is a little big.
at that point, inflexible waistlines (ex. jeans) were very uncomfy, even though my waistline barely changed.....

NO the dress I have is not tight. I might buy a new dress, but not maternity. Thanks for the help!

Re: Wedding at 12weeks
I am almost 21 weeks and not really wearing maternity clothes. I have a bunch of dresses (especially from NY&CO) that I can still get away with at this point.

Re: Wedding at 12weeks
I had a wedding at 16 weeks and I just wore a black stretchy dress that was not maternity. I had a SLIGHT bump. I think you can get away with non-maternity as all the styles look like maternity these days anyway.

Re: Wedding at 12weeks
I think you could definitely get away with a regular dress, a lot of the chiffon dresses are very flowy, I wore one around 16 weeks to 2 weddings and you couldn't really tell I was pregnant.

Re: Wedding at 12weeks
I would say a regular dress, at twelve weeks I was not showing at all.

Re: Wedding at 12weeks
I got away with regular dresses until almost 5 months, wrap dresses are a godsend for the "in between" stages, and they really 'conceal' the bump!Hardly anyone could tell I was pg in those, but pants were a whole other story!!!

Re: Wedding at 12weeks
if anything it might just be bloat...try getting something stretchy versus something form fitting and have fun!!

Re: Wedding at 12weeks
I am 12 weeks, and I am still fitting in my skirts and shirts. Jeans are pretty tough to keep buttoned now.
I wouldn't think you'd be in maternity at 12 weeks... especially if this is your 1st.
I have a wedding in 3 weeks (at 15 weeks, and I am wearing this (I ordered 1 size up due to my newly enlarged (o)(o) ) :

Re: Wedding at 12weeks
You may be bloated, but you don't need to be in a maternity dress. A maternity dress would probably be huge on you at that point. A regular empire waist dress would be perfect.
