Re: how did you prepare to ttc?
At my annual appointment, I spoke to my doctor about TTC. She recommended I take a multivitamin at least 3 months before TTC b/c of the folic acid (mine had 400 mcg). I switched to prenatals (800 mcg of folic acid) once I got a BFP.
I'm Jewish and wanted to have genetic testing done before TTC just to make sure I wasn't a carrier for certain disorders. Other than that, I didn't really do anything to prepare.

I know that you are supposed to - something about your gums being more sensitive when you are pregnant and I just want to make sure that I don't have to go at all during pregnancy.
Also, once pregnant I don't want to put anything in my body like novocaine or even tylenol so i want to make sure that if i need dental work it is taken care of

Thank you! That makes a lot of sense.

Re: how did you prepare to ttc?
The only thing i did was make an appt for the OBGYN to get prenatals. I didn't know you should go to the dentist.

Re: how did you prepare to ttc?
I went for my gyno appt, but the dr. said it is unecessary to take pre-natals before getting a BFP, and said just look for a multivitamin with folic acid. Other than that, just started eating more healthy and stopped drinking. I know some will continue to drink while TTC, but I'd rather stop before we get a BFP.

Re: how did you prepare to ttc?
My doc said to continue taking my regular multi-vitamin as well as a Folic Acid supplement.
