Dirty Hair for Highlights?

Is it better to not wash your hair the day you're getting it highlighted? I usually do it this way, but am curious now if I have it wrong.

no, you have it right - you should go in with "dirty" unwashed hair if you are getting highlights. have fun!

Re: Dirty Hair for Highlights?

I just got my highlights done a few days ago and this was one of the few times I went with my hair NOT freshly washed and I feel like I'm blonder than ever!
