oh my aching back!!
Is it ok to using a heating pad for backaches, or does this follow the no hot tub/hot shower rule because of body temp?

You can use a heating pad. I am right there with you except most of the joints in my body hurt from relaxin. feet, lower back, upper back , shoulders, hips

I use a heating pad for about an hour a day. Go for it!
I find that alternating heat and cold really works well for back pain.
