Re: LIF isnt the only place with drama

That is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard...

So she's getting rid of her dog b/c her tail is too powerful? Maybe she should have thought about that before deciding on not getting her clipped.

What a moron.

ARE YOU ***** KIDDING ME!!! Poor baby. I wish I could take him.

I'm sorry I don't think a tail is strong enough to knock out a small child.

Oh and yeah lady stop allowing your children to pull your dog by the tail then maybe the kids will learn to stay away from that end Chat Icon

Re: LIF isnt the only place with drama

This is probably one of the most ridiculous things I have ever heard. She is getting rid of the dog because she is afraid it will hurt her kids???

But she lets her kids drag the dog around by its tail. Sounds like the dog deserves a better home anyway. What an idiot.

that dog needs to get out of there and to a loving home.

She will probably abandon it.

Re: LIF isnt the only place with drama

My friend who has two American Pit Bull Terriers contacted her...

This is what my friend said:

You are joking me, right? The tail is too strong? What you are going to do to this dog is horrible- give him up to someone who most likely will not do good by him. He's been in a home for 4 years, a happy and loving home and now you want to get rid of him? That is so mean. I couldn't imagine doing that.
I have two american pit bull terriers and I hear what you're saying about the tails- but all I have to do is watch them with my son. I would never/could never even think of getting rid of my dogs for a stupid reason like that!!!

This was the woman's response:

good for you im not asking for anyone to judge me but after she left a welt on my sons arm, i have to do something, it looked like someone beat him with a bat, i have 3 children under 3 and i cannot keep them from playing with her, would you rather me leave her locked up alone all day or find somewhere suitable and dont bother writting back as i will not read it but you shouldnt judge people when you dont know the situation

I think she needs to get better control of her kids. Then she wouldn't have to worry about the dog.

Sad.

Re: LIF isnt the only place with drama

I feel bad for the dog involved. I hope he finds a good home.

But exactly what do the drama queens responding to that stuff hope to accomplish by their posts? They're not helping the dog (other than keeping interest in that post, I guess). They're wasting energy. Do they really think that woman, who posted THAT, is going to look at those posts and go "OMG, you're right! We're totally keeping her and I'm now going to be the perfect mother and dog owner!" - She's not. I think that's pretty evident from her description of why she's giving the dog away in the first place.

If these people truly wanted to help this woman in some way, they'd change their tone. If they really wanted to get her to see a point, they'd realize that a respectful tone usually gets you farther than a snarky one.

Quite frankly, I'm as disgusted with the person in the response #3 link in the first thread as I am with the woman giving away her dog. Sad situation? Yes. Silly woman with crazy idea about her dog? Probably. Worth wasting the energy to tell her that you hope God laughs in her face and that she burn in hell? No. That sort of childish, holier-than-thou attitude is neither constructive nor necessary.

I just hope the poor dog finds a loving home. I wish we were at a point in our lives where we could have a dog, but we simply aren't home enough... and that would not be fair to the dog.

ETF typo

I found this draft for a craigslist ad in my wife's email ~

For Adoption to a good home one 6' 5" husband. I have had him for over four years including dating but I didn't realize how big and strong he was and he is now too much to handle.

Please don't tell me I'm being mean I just can't handle him anymore and want what's best for all involved.

I guess I should be nervous.

In regard to the OP, I feel so bad for that poor dog. I hope he finds the loving home he deserves.
