Do you worry already that
your going to be a bad parent? DH and i were talking last night about how we would like to raise our children and things we would do that our parents didnt do with us. I was a good kid and never gave my parents a hard time, DH well he wasnt as good as me lol  but im scared im going to have a kid that lies and does bad thing lol im not even PG yet but i worry about this stuff already. anyone eles have this fear of being a bad parent and arent even PG yet? or am i just crazy for worrying about this already

I think this is totally normal to think about! TTC is a huge decision, probably the biggest you'll make in your life, so these thoughts and fears are so normal.

i agree with the girls.. its totally normal.. being a parent is a big step in your life and its natural that you are feeling this way!!

i hope your right! i just want my kid to be a good kid and do the right things like i did. ugh this TTC thing and parenting thing never ends... always bring stress lol

i don't worry about being a good parent, but i watch shows like intervention and tihngs like that and i worry that my kid might make some terrible decisions when they're teenagers re: drugs, alcohol, sex, etc. that could ruin their lives.
i also worry a LOT about having a child with a major disability or developmental disorder. i work with these type of kids (MR, autism, etc.) and i feel like i am very good with them and keep wondering to myself will God give me a child like that because I could handle it? It's weird that i worry about that a lot but i do.

i think the samething too! i fear all those things. im scared thats going to get in the way of me enjoying being pregant the fear something going to go wrong.

I feel exactly the same way...
I don't worry about either of us being bad parents- maybe we'll make mistakes but I know we'll always love them and try to do our best.....
But I am ten times more scared - like you said- about my child having any of those disabilities/disorders. Or even a disease. I think about this ALOT and it terrifies me. I don't know why.

You are not crazy, I worried about that too. My DH and I spoke A LOT about how we would raise children even before we were PG with our DS. Its important to be on the same page. My DH was a very bad kid...always Getting into trouble and he also acted up in school....I was the total opposite, I didn't cause any trouble for my parents so I always though about "what if my child is like my husband... " But no matter how much you think or prepare...every Child is different, and as long as you stand strong with your beliefs, you will be fine.

It's funny. I don't worry about being a bad parent. I worry about all the outside influences he will have. I hope that I instill in my child that no matter what -he will be able to come talk to me and we can figure things out together.
