Morning Sickness?

I'm just starting week 5 ........and I keep reading that if you're prone to motion sickness, you'll almost 100% have terrible morning sickness ..........

Soooo, I'm bracing myself b/c I get seasick, sick on roller coasters, etc etc etc .........but, so far, no MS -

Could it be I'm going to escape it? Or is just way too early to tell?

TIA !!

You might not get it, but it might be too early. Sometimes it doesn't kick in until 6-8 weeks, if at all. Hang in there and think positive!Chat Icon

Re: Morning Sickness?

It's def early, but very possible you may just get waves of nausea and not so much of the m/s.

Im crossing my fingers for you!!!!!!

Same here. It also didn't kick in until I was 9 weeks. For the first week or so, it was pretty much 24 hours a day, but once it started to subside, it was mostly at night.

In general, I get nauseous very easily-- and I was SO SCARED for morning sickness. Believe me, there were times when I wanted to puke, but I just never did. At the end of it though-- I figured I was probably pretty lucky.

I am horrible motion sickness. Chat Icon

I never got M/S though. I figured I would since i also have a middle ear deafness that makes me a lil off kilter (in more ways than one Chat Icon )

I'd say stop reading that stuff. If you get it, you get it, if you don't, you don't.

Re: Morning Sickness?

I get motion sickness too. I had some minor nausea from time to time and noticed I would sometimes get motion sickness on the train or on short car rides, but it was never terrible, and I never threw up.

Re: Morning Sickness?

It's still too early to tell whether you'll have morning sickness. I get seasick very easily and sometimes can't handle long car or bus rides. I started feeling nauseous 24/7 almost immediately after getting my BFP. I didn't actually get sick until 6 weeks. If you haven't had any nausea by 8 or 9 weeks, you're probably in the clear.

Re: Morning Sickness?

I thought I was clear of morning sickness because I felt none of it during Week 5. Then it hit full force Week 6 and am suffering from severe morning sickness during Week 7. Chat Icon

Re: Morning Sickness?

I dont have motion sickness, never got sick on a roller coaster, etc...and I had morning sickness for 10 weeks. It kicked in for me at week 6.
Up until week 6, I felt great...nothing different at all.

Re: Morning Sickness?

I felt great at 5 weeks. Then just as a I hit 6 weeks, Morning sickness hit hard. I'm 10 weeks now, and I just started feeling better.

Oh, and I never get motion or sea sickness.
