As someone who has gone through OHSS, I know how scary it is. I wonder if you did another fresh cycle if you could freeze all if there were any signs of OHSS. I was also wondering if the risk of OHSS is the only reason Dr. K and your DH are against you going through this again. I know that the journey has to end at some point and only you can know when that will be. It's amazing how we can keep pushing our bodies and minds to and beyond their limits. Perhaps speaking to a therapist by yourself or with your DH can help you make this decision and accept whatever choice you make. Best of luck!

I agree too. Its such a difficult and personal decision. Of course your personal health should come first. Is there any other protocol he could try that would make it less likely you would hyperstim? I will be thinking and praying for you and I am sure you will make the correct decison, whatever that may be.

Thank you guys!
We have two more FET's left...12 embies. I'm going to do them and if I don't get PG - I would love if that were the case, just not overly hopeful - I will talk to Dr. K. He changed my protocol for the second cycle and had me coming in every day so I only had a slight case of OHSS the second cycle, definitely enough to live and work with.
I'm going to hold off on making any decisions until the last minute.
I know that both DH and Dr. K will follow my lead on this, they have both told me so...it's just a question of me wanting to deal with it or accepting that we won't have a child.

I know I am chiming in late but I would do what you plan on doing. The FETs first prior to stims. Gerty, my thoughts and prayers are always with you!

I too, admire your strength. You know deep down inside what you need and want to do, good luck with your decision. I can't imagine how you feel but given what you write about your story if it were me, I would definitely try again.

could you stim with clomid? I remember when you did that for IUI you still had MANY, certainly enough for IVF
