Has anyone refinanced their car?
DH needs to refinance his car and doesn't have the greatest credit in the world. It isn't horrible but just ok. Who did you use to refi your car? Thanks.

Re: Has anyone refinanced their car?
We got a stinky rate when I bought DH his truck in December. So in about three more months, we will be going to the credit union to refinance it at a MUCH better rate than what we got. If you belong to a credit union, check them out.

Re: Has anyone refinanced their car?
we bought ours and got financing thru Toyota at an incredible rate and refinanced through Teachers Credit Union since we are members.
Try going through the bank where you have your accounts

I used them! Cut my payments in half each month....it was more manageable.....I extended the length of the loan, but could manage the payments. Very easy to work with!

Re: Has anyone refinanced their car?
Since you pay more interest at the beginning of the loan term... unless you have had the loan for a year or less... its usually not wise to re-finance unless you can shave at least a 2-3 points off the interest rate.

We had a 4.5% with BOA (Ford got the rate for us )and within 2 months dropped to a 3.2% with our bank!
Back in 2004 :) we keeped pretty much the same payment but will own our truck about a year sooner

We only have it for like 3 months now.
